K2.72118.0 ALEXA Fiber Remote Option 9.980 €new
An upgrade for the ALEXA, ALEXA Plus, ALEXA XT or ALEXA XT Plus cameras that can be
installed by the customer. With the Fiber Remote Option attached, the ALEXA can be
connected through a SMPTE 311M fiber connection for the following functions: live painting
operation, interconnecting with a studio switcher and a remote control panel, TV conform
signal parameter adjustments with the standard (Telecast) Remote Control Panel, return
video signal, Teleprompter signal, intercom connection, sync option to lock to the phasing of
the studio clock (like Genlock), option to use 2/3” B4 mount lenses (with IB/E adapter, instead
of PL 35mm lenses), parallel operation of fiber remote transmission and SxS recording, easy
switch between standard ALEXA mode and Fiber Remote (Live Painting) mode

Note: A Telecast Copperhead system and camera monitor (for typical pedestal use) are
required but not included.
ALEXA License Keys
License keys can be purchased from the ALEXA License Shop at http://alshop.arri.de. Each license key is coded to a single camera's serial
number. Once purchased, licenses can be installed and removed from that camera at will.
K2.72076.0 High Speed License Key 1.350 €
High Speed mode allows recording 60 to 120 fps in 16:9. High Speed with ProRes or DNxHD is
possible with all 422 codecs onto SONY SxS PRO 64 GB cards. High Speed with ARRIRAW or
ProRes 4444 is possible onto XR Capture Drives. High Speed mode uses the same Super 35
sensor area as Regular Speed mode (same depth of field, same angle of view). In High Speed
mode the REC OUT becomes another MON OUT. Requirements: ALEXA or ALEXA Plus with
Software Update Packet 5.0 or higher. Always included in ALEXA M, ALEXA Plus 4:3, ALEXA
Studio, ALEXA XT, ALEXA XT M, ALEXA XT Plus and ALEXA XT Studio.
K2.72067.0 Anamorphic De-squeeze License Key 590 €
Anamorphic de-squeeze shows a properly de-squeezed image (with or without surround
view) on the EVF-1 and/or MON OUT when working with 2x or 1.3x anamorphic lenses.
Requirements: ALEXA or ALEXA Plus with SUP 4.0 or higher or ALEXA HD or ALEXA HD Plus
with SUP 7.1 or higher. Always included in ALEXA M, ALEXA Plus 4:3, ALEXA Studio, ALEXA XT,
ALEXA XT M, ALEXA XT Plus and ALEXA XT Studio.
K2.72094.0 DNxHD License Key 3.890 €
The DNxHD license allows in-camera recording onto SxS PRO cards of 16:9 Avid DNxHD 145 (8
bit 4:2:2) and DNxHD 220x (10 bit 4:2:2) codecs, both with an MXF wrapper and embedded
audio, Timecode and metadata. ALEXA MXF/DNxHD files use operational pattern OP1a, frame
wrapped, per SMPTE 2019-4-2008. They can be linked to Avid Media Composer 5.5 or 6.0
using an ALEXA AMA plug-in available from the ARRI website for Windows or Mac OS X.
Frames rate are 0.75 to 60 fps with 32 GB SxS PRO cards and up to 120 fps with a High Speed
license and 64 GB SXS PRO cards. Requirements: Software Update Packet 6.0 or higher for
ALEXA and ALEXA Plus. SUP 6.1 or higher for ALEXA Plus 4:3, ALEXA Studio and ALEXA M. SUP
8.0 or higher for ALEXA XT or ALEXA XT M. Avid DNxHD 444 will be provided free of charge to
all DNxHD license holders later. Always included in ALEXA Plus 4:3, ALEXA Studio, ALEXA XT
Plus and ALEXA XT Studio.
